What is 'vector control'? What does 'vector control' mean?

Definition

A control method that separates the primary current supplied to an induction motor into an element forming the magnetic field and an element generating torque to control each element independently. Vector control drives a motor as a DC motor, using the torque-generating mechanism of an induction motor.
